Are you a carer for an adult with care needs?

Herefordshire Council has engaged Peopletoo, a private sector organisation, to support with a review of services to enable informal carers to take a break from their caring role.

This is often referred to as respite care or a short break service and is for people who have been assessed as eligible for support under the Care Act 2014. Sometimes support is just for a few hours during the day. It can also be support overnight, or for longer periods of time to enable a carer to go on holiday.

Peopletoo are supporting the Council to identify what kinds of respite care services people want in the future to help inform their commissioning plans. They will be holding two events and would like to invite carers to attend.

Option 1 is Thursday 6th February 2025 from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Option 2 is Friday 7th February from 10am to 12pm. Both events are being held in Hereford at the Kindle Centre, ASDA supermarket, Belmont Road, Hereford HR2 7JE.
