SIL Employees Assistance Programme

Services for Independent Living has twice been given the Employer of the Year in Health & Social Care award and with good reason. Higher than average pay rates within the sector; generous paid sick leave, maternity/paternity leave; and a range of other benefits including a free Blue Light card and Christmas Hamper, together with full paid training and a supportive management team, has made us the employer of choice for those looking for work in social care.

And now, our benefits have got even better! This month we have introduced an EAP, which offers a range of free services to all our staff and their family. The EAP is being managed by Health Assured and benefits include advice and support on the following, accessible via their free 24/7 confidential support phone line:

  • Financial and tax issues
  • Domestic and relationship matters
  • Consumer issues
  • Bereavement
  • Stress & Anxiety
  • Housing concerns

As well as the free phone line, staff can also access counselling for up to six sessions for each matter, each year. All counselling sessions are completely confidential.

We are delighted that we can offer this programme to all our staff, because we value our team and want to do our best for them – they deserve it!
